Attendee Status Indicator

While observing our users using our product, we noticed that it is quite frequent that the presenter of the session shows something and starts presenting without knowing that attendees are still downloading the material. A design change has to be made in order to make attendee's status more visible to the presenter.

Solution

An attendee status indicator is designed to indicate the status of each individual attendee regarding their current download status. The indicator will be displayed in the Participant List. However, due to the small amount of space available in the Participant List, rather than using a standard progress bar, a diamond shaped indicator was designed. A yellow, incomplete indicator means the attendee is still downloading, while a green, complete indicator means the attendee is viewing what the presenter is viewing.
