| Musicians using today's notation editing software often faced inconvenience brought by some of the features of the software. For example, many software requires the use of the mouse to direct manipulate the notes on the score, but the score is too small for users to accurately place notes on it. On the other hand, if the score is zoomed in, the user could not see the other parts of the score. This is not good, because the global context of the score may be important to the temporal task the user is doing.
I've designed some interaction techniques to solve the problem. I then implement the idea and write a notation editor in Java. See the next page for explanation.
